The 'Women & Wheels' Scholarship

New for 2021, We at Women & Wheels have introduced a scholarship to encourage more young women to enroll in an Automotive, Marine, Aerospace or Motorsport program. We are offering two different types of financial aid; a $1000 post-secondary scholarship for adult students, and a $500 scholarship to those already enrolled, or high school students who are enrolling but will fall underneath the age requirement of free tuition.

Both scholarships are offered to students and future students of Oklahoma CareerTech programs. To find a tech center near you, and to see their programs, click the link below:

  • Automotive Refinishing Technology
  • Automotive Service Technology
  • Aerospace Technician
  • Marine Repair Technology
  • Motorcycle Technology

General Info

 Women & Wheels LLC accepts applications year-round and has two review deadlines:
Fall Semester Applications: October 1
Spring Semester Applications: June 1

• Scholarship money will go to the school’s accounting department and will be credited to the student’s account
• Unused scholarship money shall be returned to Women & Wheels
• Recipients will be notified of acceptance via E-mail

The recipient is obligated to practice full-time or part-time one year for each academic year of financial assistance received. The minimum obligation is one year. If you are unable to fulfil this requirement, in case of forcible removal or academic expulsion from the program, you will be asked to return the financial aid that was awarded to you.

You will be asked to attach a one page minimum essay about yourself. in order to complete your application, please make sure to answer the following questions:

1. Tell us about yourself. Your family, interests, hobbies, etc.
2. Why did you choose to pursue a career in the automotive field?
3. What are your career plans after graduation from CareerTech, short and long term goals?
4. Which would benefit you the most, tools or continuing your education and why?
5. Give an example of an accomplishment of which you are most proud.

Women & Wheels LLC will be using a third-party education board to determine the recipients of the scholarships. 

*At this point in time, we are only offering scholarship opportunities to the applying and/or attending an Oklahoma CareerTech program, while we are looking into expanding into different states & tech centers, this is all we offer currently. Thank you!*
